freelance photographer/retoucher/now writer ;)
i was recently based in london but now have recently moved back to canada.

originally born in canada, alberta to be exact, lethbridge to be even more specific and claresholm to give away my secret. i moved out to london in 2008 to further my studies @ Central Saint Martins, before that i finished up my undergraduate @ the University of Lethbridge.

involved with photography, obviously. i was always sketching from comic books, then as i got older i started drafting architectural interiors and exteriors. in my undergraduate i began my base in drawing then evolved into photography. i wrapped myself around issues of perception, the process of looking which i eventually based my thesis on. it was during my studies in london where i was able to begin my career in fashion. i’ve always had an interest in fashion, my influences for my art was fashion based, and well, i love clothes, shoes and people. so now… well, like a friend said one night, this is lynol, he’s a fashion photographer. unknowingly, i somehow moved from being classified as just a photographer, now a fashion one. small talk for some of you, an introduction for many.

so what is lyx and why lyx?

i guess i’m just having fun, meeting the people that i’ve met, some becoming more than just colleagues or co-workers. inspirations and revelations which i thought should be talked about, written, shown off for others to know of. its those that i’m surrounded with or by, that gave me the idea to start this blog. the many, many emails being sent back and fourth, conversing and always, ALWAYS leaving our love for each other. the subtle, minimal “x” we all know and share. i guess that’s why i wanted to start this, oh and of course, show myself off! i am but a  narcissistic-schizophrenic-multinomial in love with my cigarettes. so i hope you enjoy what you read and possibly get something if not anything from it.
